Gean Lecolia Paulsen

A Depression-era child raised in rural northern Alabama, she went west during World War II and carved out a life in California, first in Long Beach and San Diego, then Santa Rosa.

An avid traveler, she rode a camel in Egypt, cruised the Mediterranean and the Panama Canal, walked the Great Wall and visited Alaska and Hawaii so often, she could suggest all the special spots a casual visitor might miss. She was fearless, a champion of justice, a lifelong learner and a firm believer in the power of positive thinking.
